The Murray-Darling Basin (MDB) Regional Hydroclimatology Project (RHP) is an element of the Coordinated Energy and Water Cycle Observations Project (CEOP) which is part of the Global Energy and Water Cycle Experiment (GEWEX). GEWEX is a major research effort of the World Climate Research Programme (WCRP). The RHP aims to understand and predict the hydroclimate of the MDB for hydrologic applications. It serves as a link between (largely) Australian research focused on the MDB and relevant international efforts. The project provides a forum for existing projects to share information and data, to establish and enhance collaborations, and to focus future research on the MDB hydroclimatology.
