1 May 2007 - Experts Explain the Latest IPCC Reports

AMOS Sydney Centre hosted a free public seminar at the University of NSW to provide an opportunity for members and the public to hear about the latest findings on climate change from two of Australia's leading climate scientists. The event was highly successful with over 350 people attending and around 150 expressing an interest in further AMOS seminars and activities.

5 November 2006 - Hunter Valley Winery Tour

About 28 people from the Sydney and Newcastle groups attended a tour and wine tasting at Tinkler's vineyard in the Hunter Valley followed by a BBQ lunch. Of course we also learnt something about the influence of weather and climate on grape cultivation and wine characteristics.

23 December 2005 - Sydney Centre Christmas Party and AGM

Over 30 members and guests attended the Sydney Centre Christmas party and AGM on 23 December 2005. The after dinner talk was by Professor Matthias Tomczak from Flinders University who spoke on "The scientist and the modern student, an enjoyable challenge or a dreadful encounter?"
