Catherine Greenhill ~~~ 5 songs

On 30 March 2003 I recorded 5 songs onto a demo CD at my friend Kerry's house (thanks Kerry!). From this page you can download mp3's of the songs, and if you're really keen you can also print out the cover, then cut it to size and slip into your CD case. (How's that for organised?!)

Here are the songs, in track order (all written and performed by me, all rights reserved, etc etc):
  1. 21st Century Romeo (2:15), as MP3 (2.8 Mb) or ogg (3.6 Mb)

  2. Over the Phone (2:08), as MP3 (2.7 Mb) or ogg (3.4 Mb)

  3. Crush (0:55), as MP3 (1.1 Mb) or ogg (3.4 Mb)

  4. Happy New Year (1:24), as MP3 (1.8 Mb) or ogg (2.2 Mb)

  5. Treasure (2:40), as MP3 (3.3 Mb) or ogg (4.2 Mb)

Here's the cover, as a postscript file. (I couldn't get it to work as a PDF file, very odd.)

I was wondering whether 21st Century Romeo was the first song ever written which includes the word "jpeg"... but it turns out that Weird Al Yankovic got there before me. Thanks to Mitchell Porter for telling me about Weird Al Yankovic's song "It's all about the Pentiums" which, according to a webpage I found, includes the lyrics:

I should do the world a favor and cap you like Old Yeller
You're just about as useless as jpegs to Hellen Keller

.... oh well, there'll be other firsts for me.
