The following is some free downloadable software that has been written using my research.  I'd be interested to know firstly if you use any of these routines in publications, also how things went, and if you have any helpful suggestions.

(S)MATR - (Standardised) Major Axis Estimation and Testing Routines
(for bivariate line-fitting in allometry)

• smatr version 2.1 is available as an R package from CRAN
• (S)MATR version 2 as an executable file written on C⁺⁺ by Dan Falster.  This comes with a helpful user's guide. This has the same functionality as smatr 2.1 for R.
• (S)MATR version 1 and a bit as a Matlab toolbox. This is a cut-down version of smatr 2, which does not allow intercepts to be forced through the origin, nor correction for measurement error.
• some spreadsheets for Microsoft Excel, that perform some of the above operations: common slope testing with multiple comparisons (1.7M), common slope testing with confidence interval estimation, confidence intervals for slope

metaSADs - A Matlab toolbox for fitting species abundance distributions at the metacommunity level.
(as in Forster & Warton 2007 - see publications.)

In the pipeline:

• programs for analysing and graphing multivariate abundance data, on Matlab and R.
