Welcome ...

Over the last decade, I've been researching and working in the field of environment and development.

My current research takes an interdisciplinary approach to understanding and explaining climate impacts on Indigenous communities in northern Australia. This research is focused in the Torres Strait, Queensland.

I'm currently teaching in the area of Australian climate and energy policy. This course, Peak Carbon, asks: why are Australians among the world’s worst per capita greenhouse gas polluters? What has Australia done to reduce its contribution to global climate change compared to other nations, such as the US, UK and Germany? What are the major obstacles to be overcome before Australia can make deep cuts in greenhouse emissions, particularly from energy?
